Ribbon n Stitches Diaper Shop

I recently had to place an order for a few items in order to start cloth diapering at day care. I had never cloth diapered until recently and am lucky to have a day care provider willing to cloth diaper too! I wanted to make sure she had the necessary items, so I need to purchase CJ’s Butter and a few more Kawaii Goodnight Heavy Wetter Diapers! When I was searching for good prices, I stumbled upon Ribbon n Stitches! It was more than a pleasant surprise – great prices, great customer service, and a great selection!!

After browsing, I settled on purchase 2 large CJ’s Butter sticks in Oatmeal and Honey ($10.97 each), 3 Kawaii Heavy Wetters ($7.75 each), and 1 regular Kawaii snaps ($7.00 each). Not to mention along with the great prices, when you spend $50 you receive free shipping!!!

Since I needed the items asap for day care I sent customer service at Ribbon n Stitches an email. In response I received a prompt, friendly, and caring email back from Linda (the owner). She was wonderful and ships all her orders out very promptly! She understands that we are all moms who need the items we order and puts her passion into her shop! I received my items within the first week after I placed the order.

As a result of sending an email, I was fortunate to be able to learn more about Linda and Ribbon n Stitches… Linda has been a military wife since 2002, a military mom starting four years ago in 2007, is a disabled veteran herself and is now a cloth diaper educator for the small military post of Fort Polk, LA and its surrounding areas. As a WAHM mother of two boys, she combined her love of finances and cloth diapering and set up a site that teaches about the world of cloth diapering and shows all families, regardless of rank or income status, how to be able to cloth diaper their children without finances being a barrier. She can be reached through FaceBook, or email: lauge@ribbonnstitches.com.

Linda started Ribbon n Stitches through just providing cloth diapering education; enabling families to know that they had choices opened them up to being able to make educated decisions for their families. There was such a huge need in the community that Linda went on to open up a physical store. She wanted to ensure that this store stayed true to its roots of helping families so she determined that her business model would act like a not for profit. All proceeds from the sales of Ribbon n Stitches goes to one of three places; Fluffy Wishes, Sweet Cheeks or subsidized baskets for families in the local community (there is no official 501c there, just Linda). She then determined that she needed to not be an official 501c since she would then only be able to help those in economic distress and she wanted to ensure that everyone be able to receive the education and inventory available. (Only those in economic distress have access to the subsidized baskets, but everyone has access to the education and store.) As she located in a military community, her families started PCSing (moving) to other locations around the world and they still wanted to support the work she had been accomplishing, as a result she set up Ribbon n Stitches online – which is what you are seeing today.

One unique and special item in her store is the Ribbon’s Surprise Box. It is always fun when you purchase something for yourself, but with this item you can also choose which charity to directly support with the proceeds from your purchase!!! It’s a win win situation!!! Great fluff products while supporting charities!!!

I definitely recommend Ribbon n Stitches to all!!! Great prices, great selection, and great customer service!!! Head on over and check it out!!!

About alyshacarmody

I'm an art teacher aka working mom that has two wonderful boys, ages 4 and 9 months. My husband is a police officer who works nights; so I find that my style of parenting isn't always what others approve of, but it works for us! I am very crafty so I am always finding new projects to try and think that I am "green" or at least try to be. My philosophy is live laughing and loving. This blog is intended as an adventure so we'll see how it goes...
