I finished two projects today – some may wonder where I find the time…usually at night… when the boys are sleeping and hubby’s at work. It’s my peaceful time – yes sewing and crocheting is peaceful and fun. Did I ever think I’d say that? Did I ever think I’d sew or crochet – not the least bit. I am trilled I have learned how to do both since they are falling at the helm and not many women are learning to do either. It’s too easy to not have to.
2 Projects – the first being Cal’s new car seat cover = success! I really wasn’t sure how it was going to go since I have never sewn something so complex involving batting, double fold bias tape, elastic, and creating button holes. It was a slow project since I broke it up into steps, but in the end really not that hard! Plus I love love love how it came out!
The second, was part of a bigger project. I crocheted my first pair of booties to match a baby girl baseball hat = success! It came out adorable and now I have to create a matching mommy hat! The themed colors are based on the Red Sox! I also love how this set came out too!!!
I love the sharks print I used! I even made the reversible shoulder strap covers!
The shoulder strap covers.
