Today at work was an amazing day that I got to spend at a technology student expo in order to see if it was worth having my students participate in. I never thought that I’d be in the position where my students could present what we do in our courses and be on top, but it turns out that I do far more than I thought I did. I can’t wait until I am able to have my students showcase next year!
When I came home I was in much need of a nap, but that never seemed to occur. Instead hubby who had the day off and went fishing napped, but to his defense no matter how much I hate to admit it he was up from last night working so in all fairness he truly needed a nap. Ugh….I really hate to admit that he may have been more tired than me! So needless to say, I was beyond thrilled when my dad called to invite us to dinner!!! Wooohoo, I was exhausted and didn’t have to plan dinner or cook! Yay!
Dinner was great and the boys had a blast. CJ was in the need of s’more playtime with Mimi, and turned out that Cal joined right in.
After putting the boys to bed, with Neal’s help…yes he helps! I was craving something and couldn’t figure out what it was that I wanted. I tried chocolate, almonds, chips, fruit … took a small bite but it just wasn’t cutting it. Ice cream wasn’t even satisfying…so as a last resort I made s’mores in the microwave and they were everything that I needed!!! Totally yummm and satisfying.
So the moral of the story is that sometimes s’more is all you need.
